Madeleine has worn her costume a couple of times before tonight, but tonight she got to show it off to the neighborhood children!

When we were at our pre-op consultation on Thursday the surgeon said that the doctors were shocked that she got her leg movement back (which we knew) but he said that it’s completely changed their understanding of spinal cord injuries. According to everything they’ve ever seen before, an injury like that – that went that long with no leg movement/improvement – should not have recovered movement like she has. We feel so lucky. She truly is a miracle baby.
