The many faces of Madeleine

Madeleine is already making lots of cute little faces at us. Some I have yet to catch on film (like her involuntary little smile she does sometimes…or the pirate girl, which is when she’s waking up and only opens one eye at first. Yarrr!)

But I do have most the others! And here they are, in no particular order:

The stare. This happens when she’s alert and awake and sees something interesting. In this case, her little lion. She loves to stare at him in her crib.

This one we call the “Housh” face. So..sort ofย a weird story, but one of the new players for the Seahawks this year is named Houshmanzada (sp??) and when he completes a great play, the crowd goes “HOOUUUUUSSSSHHHHHHHH” which is what this face looks like to us. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have several pictures – she does this one all the time.

The yawn. She has the biggest yawn known to man. LOL!!

Suspicious face! She normally does this one when Alex gives her his finger as a pacifier if I can’t get to her right away and she’s hungry. It works for a few minutes – but she always looks at him like this as if saying “Come on! I know there’s no milk here, mister.”

The Elvis face! This one cracks me up. I’m not sure why she does it. She’s probably just playing with her mouth, but it is so funny. See her little lip turned up on one side? ๐Ÿ˜€

Here’s the “What the heck are you doing?” face. She’ll give us this one when we’re making faces back at her or doing something silly. She already gives us ‘tude. hehe!

And finally, the “Whoa! What the heck is THAT??” face
